The person behind every article on this site

I’m Audrey — a mom of two, a parenting researcher, and the founder of USA New Moms. I started this site because when I was expecting my first child, I spent hours every night googling the same questions and getting conflicting, anxiety-inducing answers. I wanted to create the resource I wished existed: calm, clear, and actually useful.

Everything published on USA New Moms is personally written or reviewed by me. I don’t outsource content to anonymous writers. If my name is on it, I’ve verified it — and I update it when things change, because parenting recommendations evolve and out-of-date advice can do real harm.

My background is in research and content — I approach every topic the way a journalist would: checking primary sources, cross-referencing pediatric guidelines, and being honest when there isn’t one clear answer.

🔍 How I research every article

  • I start with official guidelines — AAP, CDC, or the relevant pediatric authority for the topic.
  • I verify time-sensitive claims (like registry perks) by checking them firsthand in active accounts.
  • I update articles on a 60-day cycle for topics where information changes frequently.
  • I flag uncertainty clearly — if something varies by baby or situation, I say so.
  • I never publish a product recommendation I wouldn’t use myself or trust for my own children.

Our Mission

We exist to cut through the noise — so you can spend less time googling and more time enjoying your baby.

The internet is full of conflicting parenting advice, alarming forum posts, and products pushed by influencers. USA New Moms was built to be different: a place where you get calm, clearly explained, parent-first information — without the panic or the sales pitch.

Every article we publish goes through a simple test: Would this actually help a tired, overwhelmed new mom at 2 a.m.? If the answer is yes, it belongs here.

What We Stand For

Four principles behind everything we publish

🧘

Calm Over Fear

Parenting content should reassure, not alarm. We write with empathy and always flag when to consult a doctor — without catastrophizing.

🔍

Research-Backed

Our content references pediatric guidelines and up-to-date recommendations. We update articles regularly so information stays accurate.

💬

Plain Language

No jargon. No overwhelming lists. Just clear, conversational answers a real mom can read and actually use.

🚫

Honest About Products

We recommend products because they’re genuinely useful — not because of commission rates. Affiliate links are always disclosed.

Who We’re For

Written for moms at every stage

  • First-time moms in their third trimester — getting ready, building the registry, trying to understand what’s ahead.
  • Moms with a newborn (0–3 months) — navigating sleep, feeding, diapering, and all the things nobody warned you about.
  • Moms tracking developmental milestones — wondering if their baby is on track, what’s normal, and when to ask a pediatrician.
  • Moms preparing for new milestones — starting solids, teething, rolling over, first steps — knowing what’s coming helps.
  • Budget-conscious moms — navigating what baby gear is actually worth buying and how to save without sacrificing safety or quality.
“We will never tell you something is fine when it isn’t, and we will never scare you when there’s nothing to be scared of.”

How we make sure our content is trustworthy

Good parenting content isn’t just well-written — it needs to be accurate, up to date, and written with the right intent.

  • We follow pediatric guidelines. Articles on health topics reference recommendations from trusted organizations like the AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics).

  • We always say “talk to your pediatrician.” We’re not a substitute for medical advice. Where it’s relevant, we flag when a concern warrants a professional conversation.

  • We update our content. Parenting recommendations change. We review and refresh our most-read articles regularly to reflect current guidance.

  • We disclose affiliate relationships. Some links on our site may earn us a small commission. This never influences what we recommend — and it’s always disclosed.

  • We write for parents, not algorithms. Our goal is a helpful answer for a real mom — not a perfectly keyword-stuffed article that ranks but doesn’t help.
